The Kinihirikanda Rajamaha Viharaya is located inside a triangle of three World Heritage Sites ( 52 km from Anuradhapura , 42 km from the Polonnaruwa, and 20 km from the Dambulla). It is only 15 km from another World Heritage Site, Sigiriya. Anyone who visits the four World Heritage Sites, can also visit the Kinihirikanda Rajamaha Viharaya, and enjoy all of the beautiful scenery it has to offer.
The Kinihirikanda Rajamaha Viharaya is situated in the Kekirawa Pradeshiya Sabha
(Secratiate) area of the Anuradhapura district in the north-central area of Sri Lanka. It's about seven km from Kekirawa and lies on the Eastern side of a beautiful mountain called Kinihirikanda. It lies on the southern side of the Habarana- Polonnaruwa road. Also about eight km away the Rigitgala Range and its ancient war-time caves can be seen.
